Swseet, so some of those Klamath strain 'bows might take a Rapala on the troll. I'll try it all and post a report when I get back.

Fishing is slow!

Fishing is slow!

Just got back last night from a few days of fishing including 2 days at Diamond. Got there on monday, and struck out. Not a single bite. Everyone we talked to said fishing had been SLOW the last 2 days. Couple of guys said they brought in a fish or two, but we did not see a single fish caught. Fishing somewhat picked up yesterday (Tuesday), but was streaky and pretty specific. Guys were catching some on the very southwest end on flies, but other than that it was slow. Not sure what flies they were using, seemed like the same people were catching all the fish, but we could not figure it out. There was a pretty solid hatch on tuesday. Hopefully it picks back up soon!

I have returned

I have returned

I just got back tuesday and I had moderate luck , the weather was crap rained most of the time and it was cold , I slept in my car, lol but I did catch a FAT 20 incher it had some major shoulders on it. Here are some pics, I am also 6'4" makes the fish look smaller lol. also went to crater lake. I threw in a few other pic's enjoy!

Diamond Lake Resort just updated it's fishing report. Looks like it may be clear of ice once opening day arrives. http://www.diamondlake.net/fishingreport.html

I might stop by the first monday after opening day. Im thinking ill camp at either Hyatt or Howard Prarie on opening weekend then drive over there.

Oh i know this

But i am not fond of crowds. So im thinking the first monday after it opens might be good

I might camp up at Hyatt for a few days if its nice enough, then drive to Diamond and Howard Prarie during the day.
