Can anyone identify this salmon parasite

A friend caught a salmon and these came slithering out its mouth after it was dead not sure what they are but they move around similar to a Caterpillar

Leeches. They're reporting lots of leeches on dead and dying salmon in British Columbia.

Leeches for sure. All rivers have them but some more than others. One of the really small rivers I fish later fall season most of the fish have leeches on them if they’ve been in the river for more than a day or two

Thanks for the replies I thought they were leeches but was not sure I've never seen one first hand only pics I do wonder if he was eating them or they were eating him
