Black Butte Pond

Gonna be at the pond this weekend. I have only fished it once. Will it be frozen over? Gonna swing some flys. Also may chack out the metolious.

Never fished Black Butte. I'd be interested in how you did and what flies this time of year worked.

I was there in September and got one nice rainbow on a woolly bugger the first cast of the day, gonna probably start with a woolly buger with a small orange shrimp trailing. I'm trying to decide whether to use a float or not. hmmmm:think:

Don't know about the pond but caught a 18-20" rainbow on the Metolius Sunday. Nice Golden Stone nymph under a indicator. If your in Black Butte your only 10-15 min away. Fly fishing only.
