Bass fishing Bonnevile Dam?

Where does everyone bank fish for bass around bonnevile dam? Read something about Bonnevile pool but don't know where that's located, or anywhere along the willamette going towards hood river? Went down to west linn to fish the willamette and caught only one in four hours

Which side is behind? Left or right?

The UPSTREAM or BACK side of a dam is the POOL, in the picture it would be the right side.

I would say any islands, backwaters and current breaks would be good like you can see on the map shown.
