Fishing for eating size bluegill and crappie with my youngest, and wound up catching
my personal best largemouth. 21", 4.2 pounds. Super tiny (less than 1/64th once) yellow marabou with maybe an 8th of an inch of dead nightcrawler. No bobber, working deep weed edges off the dock. Hit more like a crappie than a bass. Had drag set too light and managed to wrap me around some weeds on the bottom. Took 10 or 15 minutes of slack line before he unwound himself and I was able to get him up off the bottom . Boy did a fine job of netting him soon as I got him close enough.
