2013 Ocean sport salmon seasons

comparing Coho quotas, Cape Falcon to OR/CA border:

2012: Selective Coho: 8000, Non-selective Coho: 11,800
2013: Selective Coho: 10,500, Non-selective Coho: 16,000

Can hardly wait. Love chasing silvers!! I really like fishing out of Newport but the season is only a month long there July 1 to July 31. North of Cape Flacon the season is June 22 to September 30 and the quota is 37,000 some odd fish, pluss chinook. Good luck out there.

Gonna be a great year for salmon up and down the coast. I can't wait either! Be sure to release any California-bound coho, though. They're not doing very well down here and we can't fish for them.

got it, any coho with "Go Bears!" tattoos are headed for Cal and we should let them go....

Do any of you target chinook outside of Tillamook or Nehalem bays this time of year? Wondering if it's worth a shot if I find myself crabbing out there.
