Couple of the highlights from this guiding season in the pnw

Made what is probably my last north coast trip of the season got this 33” wild hen on the swing

Nope not at all he was deep and hit a streamer hard

Buck on my 6 wt Spey rod, taped 40inches by 21 inches.

Caught this hatchery today on the Wilson swinging a tube fly

Got me my fist ever streamer steelhead on a intruder in black and blue!

I agree with you here, they were green copper johns.

I was using mostly a copper John but also got some bites on a hares ear They were both jig nymphs of course.

You’re probably right. I also will blam at least 2 of the fish lost (if not more) on my stupidity 😂

Went 1/3 today on the fly rod.

I would go to the necanicum at the county park bobber dog and use jigs and worms spinners can be productive too!

That’s super interesting wonder how different conditions of the year they were born or what food they ate in the ocean impacted that.

Surprised myself with a late season coho on a steelhead bead yesterday definitely gave me a run for my money on my steelhead rod 😂 suprised to see a decently fresh one this late in the season.
