    speed and HP had nothing tro do with the spin... dumb boater only, he skipped off the wake and tripped the boat, obviously you have never truly ran a bass boat at high speeds, most when ran properly are VERY STABLE and easy to drive... he was no where near the capibility of the hull...

    on a smaller boat without power trim set propeller paralell to hull when hull is set level, this is the most efficient possition.. if power trim equipped, start all the way down, and trim up based on speed and water conditions trimming to level once on plane

    you try tailing a coho lately... the fct he held it as long as he did is actually quite feat. granted if it was a releaser i wouldnt have been so agressive to remove it from the water... but with no net i dont see much more he could have done differently....

    it is totally separate of the block.... there is no head gasket on that engine... just a side plate and cooling jacket gaskets... 1 piece head and block...

    that engine uses 2 piece water jacket design, you need to replace the gasket between the cylinder head and the waterjacket around the spark plug area

    i really couldn't tell you the useage but most were local hulls to the portland area so one would assume that they saw times at bouy 10 or out in the big pond, but none show "abuse" or lack of owner pride of ownership. the willie drift boat supprised me as i havent seen one break...

    Seaking 6 hp...glitches....

    fuel pump is powerred off of crank case pressure on cyl number 1.. rebuild carb, rebuild pump, reset points and probably need a water pump as well.... 3to 5 min of run time is a fuel pump starvation problem...
