I am a left handed angler and I love fishing conventional and bait casting reels. Reeling in a reel with my right hand feels very wrong. I learned to not expect the world to conform to my left handedness (I am in my right mind after all). And if I have it, why not use it?

I was up at the Narrows this past weekend. The smallmouth bite was on. Seemed like each cast produced a nice fish. The catfish bite was slow when I was there though.
I live near Rock Creek and the Clackamas River. I'm not opposed to driving a bit for some fun. The tenkara rod is meant for small streams and I don't know how it would do on the Clack. I would be scared to hook into a steely and snap my rod.
