    What won't a pikeminnow eat?

Chicken liver from what I have heard. I was up to the lake at the last Pikeminnow tournament and there was a gentlemen there from I believe he said Sweethome. He had over one large cooler each day. He was very kind to show me the technique he used. A friend of mine caught a 18 inch trout about 6...

Checked with ODFW today and found out that during the Pike Minnow Derby,(BlackBerry Festival) when the tagging is done , none are dumped in. Only those that are already in the lake are tagged. I enjoy fishing Dexter and have done so for quit a few years. I'm sure I have not fished as many years...

    Where's the fish

up till the last stocking I had no problems. I must have caught 15-20 between 14-18 inches,if not more,in fact was able to get one steelhead around the 24 inch size. Guess that's why they call it fishing? I have run into a lot of great people around Alton and hope to continue, tight lines to you.

    Where's the fish

Jeanna, I totally agree with your ideas on where the fish go. There was a time just behind the stadium (canel), where there is now a large dead tree (dog park side), I caught 80 trout in about 3 hours,I believe it was around 1998 . But over time as we all know the rivers and canels change...

What the crowd of fellas were talking about was a person could be fishing in a spot and with-in 15 feet someone with a pet would allow that pet to splash into the water right next to where they were fishing. What was talked about was for them to be courteous. All dogs in Alton Baker Park are to...

    Dexter catfish?

yes Walleye hit in the winter, in some of the northern states they do great ice fishing. There may be a, time of year when they hit more ,like just before winter or in the spring, just before spawn? The launch I was thinking about is up by the Hampton siding of the Union Pacafic RR. Wow they...

    Dexter catfish?

I hope to be picking up the 12 ft. boat tomorrow. This should give more access to those trout, bass, and I hope walleye and those silly pikeminnows, they will give a good fight tho. I wanted a 12 ft as this way no trailer to worry about. Where do you think the catfish would be hanging out? When...
