wow, i think i gathered enough sea grass to fill a dump truck, but six hours on the water produced zero action......... won't keep me from trying again!
well, pops and i were on the water for 6 hours with about 2.3million other boats and didn't even get so much as a takedown or a hit but it loooked like the seals were plenty fat
i only saw one other boat fighting a fish, and only one boat(out of the 25 i asked) said they had fish on board
well, i'm headed out tomorrow to run from the seals again............ hopefully they're letting up a little? ya i know see ya on the water sunday a.m.
look for the boat dragging a stringer of seals
I'd like to be in on one of those trips too! I'm not old (at least i don't feel like it) but i am a little crusty. I've got a sled that'll fish 3. So, let me know how the first trip goes, I'll be in the umpqua for a while. We might be able to meet up and split a trip in my boat? I'm in Coburg...
I spent 6 hrs. from the 101 bridge to the bend trolling cut plug herring and hooked up with two fish. There was a lot of other boats and I saw maybe 30 fish caught. So, even though the tides weren't perfect, they're in!
p.s. the seals were THICK and way more successful than us.
