I wish! No, it was my first season fishing really...and I have since acquired waders, wading boots, warm clothes, etc...lol but that was in a warm part of the year in September when we had some heat spells. Chris

Fishing tomorrow morning - Wilson River

Are there going to be many regular trout in there? My buddy will be fly fishing and not sure what we should expect to be in there. Just native Coho and Fall Chinooks? Chris

Fishing tomorrow morning - Wilson River

Hello fellow fishermen, Thinking about heading to the Wilson River tomorrow morning/afternoon. Anyone know of a good bank fishing location along the river that my friend and I could start at? I drove along highway 6 a while back and it looked like there might be some good fishing all along...

    Milo Mciver park tips?

I don't have any black and red yet - I have an orange color and I also have purple and then a BRIGHT pink. Right now I am using a bobber, in-line weight and then my leader with a split shot about half way down my leader. I'm using size 1 hooks with yarn balls that I made out of about 1" long...

    Milo Mciver park tips?

Could I use a dark purple yarn ball and drift it from a bobber? Also, is it absolutely necessary to use a corky? If so, why? Chris:clap:

    Milo Mciver park tips?

Anyone have tips for where to go fishing at McIver park? Buddy will be fly fishing and I'll be drifting yarn and corky or eggs from a bobber. Any ideas? I've never been out there. Also, what kind of fish might we find in there right now? Steelies? Chris:cool:

    N. Umpqua 1 In, 1 retured

    N. Umpqua N. Umpqua I love the N. Umpqua and that's a nice video! My wife grew up on a couple acres right on the N. Umpqua and her father was a fishing guide on there. It's a beautiful river! Congrats on the nice fish.

    Boot recommendations?

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks for all of the replies. I will have to go to the store and try on a few different kinds you recommended and see what I like. I live in East Portland - where is the best (cheapest) place to pick up these boots? Chris

I never thought I'd be disappointed with weather

I don't know if we need more rain - but the fishing conditions on the sandy were not ideal - water level was high and there was a LOT of wind this morning. But....it was sure fun to be out there in the sun throwing my line in - even if I didn't catch anything!

    Boot recommendations?

Hi guys and gals, I did a quick search of the forum and couldn't find any posts related to boots recommended for wading. Someone recommended corkers to me last night but I was just wondering if anyone has other opinions on what kind of boots they like best? Chris

Seems like there should be - but if its a nice day there will be a lot of people there swimming / rafting / etc. Not sure though - some other forum members might know of more secluded places.

    Steelhead/Salmon Fishing Tomorrow

Cedar Creek Cedar Creek Was there today - saw about three nice size fish that had been caught - my buddy and I had one on but he had tied the leader poorly and the line broke....doh. Saw a decent amount jumping though. I'll probably go back again soon.
