I am not really interested in the rod but I have tyed some of the fly patterns I have seen vidios on tying them. I have yet to try any of them out but when and if the trout season opens I am sure going to give them a try. The reverse hackle is said to flutter more and give the fly more action...

i launch mu toon boat at ramp C. I have used the ramp and the swamp grass area just left pf the ramp. If you try the dirt areas the bottom is soft clay and you will get sucked in and be stuck. KiltedBob

I made mine from a plastic basket. They sell them at BiMart, Tt is about 12 in long and 8 in wide. The strap is a old krate belt from Goodwill. I heated one side to soften the plastic and formed an indentation for my belly. Works good and is a handy place to place small things. KiltedBob

I am avaiable any time. I group of us camped on the south fork of the Alsea new years. River was high and muddy so no fishing but had fun eating and camping in the cold. Decide when and where and lets do it

I guess I don't know what a "rubber skirt" is. I wear a wool kilt does that count? You might have some trouble tossing me in, I don't toss easily.. KiltedBob

My most favorite rod is a 10ft 7wt rod and it seems to load and cast best with my 10wt WF line. Also on my 10ft 9wt rod I use a 12wt WF line. maybe I am doing a little over kill but the rods seems to work for little old me. KiltedBob

I was on the south fork over the weekend but the river was a torent of coffee with creamer. So didn't even wet a fly. KiltedBob
