I went out with my girlfriend yesterday (6/16). We ended up with one koke and four bows in four hours fishing. Probally had ~18 bites but with the flat water as sunsalem mentioned it was tough. All of the fish we hooked were on red chironomids. John

Christy I would suggest trolling to cover as much water as possible. There are fish in the channels but they are certainly not stacked up. By all accounts so far this is an off year as far as catching the big Cranebows go. Yesterday the Deschutes and Cultus channels had a dozen boats each...

We landed one koke that was well over 2 lbs... but didn’t get a pic. All of the brook trout were on the smaller size but I did see one porpoise that was huge. Indeed there were some real bombers hatching! I'm heading back up this weekend for some more “scouting”:D

Frog Hair has good elasticity (stretch) which I like especially for tippet material. Several years ago I used the Grand Max (pre FX) and found it to hold a knot well and it (was) the strongest for its diameter.
