Where do YOU fish the Wilson

Question about the Donaldson/Windy Rock spot, never tried or seen the location, I was wondering if I could just drive my truck right up to the bank or do I have to park and walk down? From the overview GPS map it looks like that's a drive able road leading right to a sandy bank? Any info would...

Where do YOU fish the Wilson

Thanks for that link to the map. Put it to use today, started low at the RV park and burnt down shop and ended near Jordan creek. No fish but fun exploring.

    Winter plunking at Meldrum?

Spin n glow with the usual; eggs, coon or sand shrimp seems to always do the trick. Some days they're hitting on sand shrimp then another days it's eggs, you just never know.

    Little Nestucca

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a place I don't want to go to. I absolutely hate combat fishing and flossing. Its just not right to be foul hooking fish in the body, tail, whatever... I wished I had a boat. It getting hard to find good bank access without shoulder to shoulder battling...

    Little Nestucca

X2 about bank access for these river? I want to explore more of the coastal waters since the Sandy and Clackamas rivers have been very slow this year.

Steelhead spin rod and reel selection advice needed.

I love my Okuma SST rod and Shimano Sedona 4000. The combo is awsome! The SST rod is probably the best bang for the buck. My rod is 8'6" medium action

    Drought is over

Yes, for sure, its such a wonderful feeling to finally catch these elusive beast! Words cannot discribe the feeling, and I'm sure you all know what or how I felt when I was finally able to pull one up to shore! Euphoric bliss... Believe me when I say I put in a heck of a lot of time into...

    Drought is over

I'd be happy to disclose more if others on the forum do the same. I don't know why but members on this forum will never tell where they go and I have asked many times but people are tight lipped which is fine so I will conform to the standards here and not say anything. However, I freely say...

    Slow, slower, slowest

Yeah that's unfortunate your guide did that. It's tough finding a good guide, I generally will only go with the ones that have good referrals or a good website. From my personal experience, seems like the ones with a good webpage tend to be very professional and ethical...Always exception to...
