Calm down jr. lol It is a stocker fish pond it is no secret by any means. It was in ODFW's recreation report that it was stocked with brooders. You act as if someone posted a secret salmon/steelhead stream on the coast that you showed someone and had them swear not to share the spot with anyone...

Hope you are not talking about me. I was not trying to be negative at all. I was just saying that you could read all kinds of books on different types of fishing and do research and such but nothing compares to time spent on the water. Thats all I was saying.

Agreed the only way to really learn is to put your time in on the water.

Thill, Beau mac, and West Coast floats are good. I've never had any issues with these floats.

Nice looking fish man. I think that is a winter looks too bright to be a late summer. Plus I think the North Santiams winter run are mostly all natives. As for looking for people to fish with i am also looking and i have a lot of free time as well.

I use a size 12 barrel swivel with 2 or 4lb leader on a 6lb mainline(when using 2lb i might downsize the swivel). Like I said when i use mono no line twists when i use braid i get them. Also i do believe that some lines are prone to line twists more so then others(like cheaper line bargain...

I have tried fire line and other different line that is braided and all it ever does is twist and makes a mess and I spend more time getting tangles out then fishing. When i use mono i never have problems idk maybe its my luck but i know people who also claim to have the same problems as me...

Fireline is braided and doesn't work good for spinning reels! In my opinion maxima ultragreen is the best mainline and leaderline for spinning reels at least. It is very stong and durable and my line of choice.

East lake, Paulina lake, Craine Prarie resiviour, Wikiup resivior, big and little lava lakes, The desheutes river, these are all my favorite places to go.

So I have fished this place a lot and have caught nice trout out of here but never any luck with bass. Today however was a different story I managed to catch a couple of nice bucket mouths. One 5 lb and one 3 lb. I have fished this lake a lot with little success and perserverance paid off. :D
