    Nice weekend at Diamond Lake

My grandsons and I were invited (thank you Uncle Jim and Great Great Grandpa) to camp and fish at Diamond Lake. The five of us caught 47 rainbows. Most were about 14 inches long but two were 19 inches. The water temp. was in the high 60's. The fish were caught at a depth from 20 to 30 feet.

    The carnage continues....

scent control is the way to go---deepwoods off on a worm=no fish---wash hands or wear gloves

    Rudeness on the McKenzie River

I quit fishing for many years because of rudeness. Never quit. Speak up. Let them know how you feel. Don't let the few spoil it for you. And the rude are the few.

    Run timing

I think you can use the eggs here. No live fish for bait here in fresh water. Check the Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations. Also check; Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife

    learning to bass fish

Trout gear is great for bass if you use worms or jigs. You need to use stronger line if you would like to toss lures.

    Fishin two poles

Great question. You could think of it as another tool in you tackle box, however; I don't think I could use the option cause I can't keep up with one rod.

    Informal bass tourney /get together

I don't think I can join you however: fastest one man craft (50 yards) would be fun for bragging rights.

    Third time to Hagg lake

Thanks for the replies. My grandson found a good drop off where the bass will take nightcrawler around midday. We are going to Glide for the 4th. Good firework, food and company (for a small donation to the church, if you have it). Might be able to sneak out and fish early on the 3rd. Never...

    Third time to Hagg lake

My grandsons and I just got back from our third trip to Hagg lake. Nice sunny day with light wind. The water temp. was 72 deg. I finally landed a fish at this lake. A 2 pound smallmouth.

    choking bass

The hook was deep in the mouth of that fish. About 10 minutes had passed from when his line broke. It may have bled out?

    choking bass

This is a fishing story. It is true. My dad and I were fishing up a finger of Shasta lake. He hooked a small (2 lbs?) largemouth bass. It broke his line and got off. We fished to the end of the finger and headed back. We got to the spot where he lost his fish and belly up was a bass. We scoped...

Trout fishing, mainly Willamette valley, safe to eat?

The Oregon State Regulation (encyclopedia ha, ha) gives you a heads up on mercury and toxins. If you don't eat the same day by day you are OK.
