Kirk pond right across from the Dam, does have large mouth bass. I'm unsure if their is a advisory or not for eating the fish. I've eaten a couple I caught out of there, and they seemed just fine. You might try the Fern Ridge Lake as well. I've Caught bass in there too.

Didn't get much action on the mickey finn, I did get one short strike. A brown bugger was definitely a better producer today

Interested if anyone has tried some of the classic bucktail streamers such as a mickey finn or a black nose dace in still water for trout. Looks more like a Red Irish Lord to me, I've seen a couple caught before on charter boats.

A new set up I just got myself is a Fenwick Eagle 9' 5 wt paired with a orvis clearwater size 2. Rod was $99 and reel was $89. I pretty happy with it. After I bought backing and some WF floating 5 weight line it cost me $218 all together.

The shape of that river has me wishing I was steelhead fishing right now!
