Kirk pond right across from the Dam, does have large mouth bass. I'm unsure if their is a advisory or not for eating the fish. I've eaten a couple I caught out of there, and they seemed just fine. You might try the Fern Ridge Lake as well. I've Caught bass in there too.

A new set up I just got myself is a Fenwick Eagle 9' 5 wt paired with a orvis clearwater size 2. Rod was $99 and reel was $89. I pretty happy with it. After I bought backing and some WF floating 5 weight line it cost me $218 all together.
