    Solar powered 12v chargers

They don't run the motor, they just ensure that the battery won't be dead. I don't think there are any that will charge your motor ehough if you are using it for a few hours a day, they're more for making sure your outboard/car/RV won't lose all it's juice over the winter, or in an extended time...

Combat fishing... ...and the meaning of life.

I think that's a great idea, personally! I don't live up there, and I'm leaving shortly anyway, but I would love to see a program like that. I personally believe that the first weapon everyone has is not presenting a "soft target", the second is having a buddy, the third is a cell phone, and the...

    Alsea anyone?

Is northwest expressway a nickname or joke that I don't get? I'd like to hit some carp too, especially since I lose my job on the first! I'm going to fish my butt off in the first three weeks of Jan., before I ship out!

    Steelhead name?

I've had chinook do this to me, too! Once on the Kilchis I was playing one in a large pool with a gravel bar on the far side. By the time I figured out what he was doing as he tore across the river straight out from me, I felt a headshake, lots of wierd vibration up the line, and he was gone...

    Lure Set up

That is a pretty massive setup! Are they fishing for submarines? I got a steal on a HUGE spool of 20lb spiderwire, so it's my got-to mainline for steel and salmon in rivers. And I love the casting distance it gives me. Wind of any kind plays hell with knot tying though, and if it...

    suttle/elk

I've been to suttle lake many many times since I was young. Don't remember ever doing well there! We've caught several kokes from there, but not odell numbers by any means. Supposed to be good browns in there, learned some tricks for them, but haven't been able to implement them yet! As for elk...

    Alsea anyone?

    Lure Set up

I use 20lb braid, to a swivel to leader, usually 10lb flouro or 12 lb mono. I use 8lb flouro or mono in summer, or exceptionally clear water. Although, I have landed chinook from clear water with my green braid tied directly to the spinner. no shyness there!

    Spin fishers

Best anti-line twist method ever Best anti-line twist method ever I too am a primarily spin fisher! When I notice line twist building up, I cross the river (either wading or over a bridge) so the water is flowing the other way, then resume fishing normally! The water flowing backwards...

    How dark is "too dark"?

Yeah, it's on the Alsea. I don't remember the milepost for the road, but it's well signed. I drive down the road to a sharp left turn with those yellow and black chevron signs on it, and there's an access road right in that curve that goes into some timber land. I know the owner of that land, he...

    How dark is "too dark"?

That's a good idea with the belly, I don't really recall the look of it on that fish. Yeah, I would have felt bad about whacking that one. The jack darkened up a LOT after I bonked him, but he felt firm the next day, so we ate him and he was good!

    How dark is "too dark"?

Hey all! I was fishing Five Rivers this weekend, and pulled in a nice nook that was a chromy, all-over pink with a dark back, and a slightly hooked jaw and nose. Left the camera in the truck though:wall:. I let him go, but it made me wonder, how dark is too dark to eat? Anyone have pics of fish...
