looking for some salmon or steel head head row un-cured hopefully kind of local here to the portland area. PM me with your price and what you got. Thanks
i'll second that they were jumping and rolling like crazy. not bighting for me though. But other were landing some. Guy at the bait store told me that saturday a guy pulled out a 45 pounder on a spinner. Caught a couple of grab, and possibly a cold..lol
So here is my plan: And would like everyone to tell me if I am crazy or not. I plan to go to P.C. this weekend. Instead of throwing spinners or bobber fishing with eggs, I thought I would try something different: Like using a spreader with about a 2 oz. cannonball weight 2 or 3 foot leader...
Thanks Everyone! Great now I have to buy 2 or 3 reels....lol
P.S. Going down to the Salmon River next weekend. Probably fish tide water, well unless the rain keeps up ( think wet ):)
okay so I am buying a new rod (just For bobber fishing) anyone have any advice on what reel I should buy. It will be used for primarly salmon fishing and winter steelies. So a medium / maybe medium heavy is what I am looking for. I don't want to spend more that about $100.00. Thanks everyone.
That's why they call it fishing and not catching. We all want to catch fish. But remember your are in the great outdoors in the best state in the U.S.A. and not at work. The worst day fishing is still a heck of a lot better than the best day at work.:) also make sure you are using latex gloves.
