Is the north santiam a good river for winter steelhead?

just picked up a copy for 4 bucks on amazon 9th edition

Looking to maybe hit up the n santiam in the next couple weeks and was wondering what fish to target and what locations may bring success? Thanks for any of the info you can give me.

Ok I rigged up the bead but didn't use it long because the bead & hook would get tangled on the weight or float more often than not is there something im doing wrong or do I just need to cast easier?
