    Trolling Motor Ideas

They are an expensive toy, but if you can swing it I highly recommend it. Mine is a Motor guide, 24 volt, 80#, for a 19 foot aluminum Koffler. This will only be my 3rd year with it and can't imagine not having it now. It came with foot control and remote but I have never even used the foot...

    Prineville Reservoir water level images

The County Ramp was the only place I could get my kayak launched last August, and it was not pretty then. Deep mud made it difficult. This week I couldn't even drive down into it far enough to see the water very well. I'll be trying it in the spring though.

    Prineville Reservoir water level images

I saw some interest lately in Prineville Reservoir and figured I would post a few images of a day trip I made over there today and a few from August 2022. No fishing today but have been making a few trips over there per year, the last few years. The last couple years the boat ramps have been...

    Lakes Prineville Reservoir Fishing Reports

I’ve made several trips to Prineville Reservoir in July. My last was the last few days of July. The reservoir and the Crooked River that feeds it is horribly low. The Crooked River is a dry creek bed in places and will bubble up farther down. There is a bad algae bloom up by the old resort and...

    Fly fishing for shad

Haven't ever fly rod fished for them but do tie up my own stuff for fishing them. I have always done better with a jig style hook for some reason. Small offerings are better. Very little body if any. I've caught a lot of shad with just a colored jig head and gold hook. 1/32 to 1/16 oz. I usually...

    Any spring crappie pics yet?

Don't know what it is about those crappie but I love fishing for them. I usually make a trip or 2 over to Prineville Reservoir and/or the Snake but have never got one close to that one. Didn't even go last summer with Covid and all, but all vaccinated up now and will be traveling more this...

Looking for 20-22' forward helm, inboard gm v6/8 jet boat.

Some pretty devastating photos for sure. I can't even imagine. Just curious but what are you and most people doing as far recovery. Rebuilding or just moving on? Wishing you well, either way.

    Trout Magnets

I've only used them for Crappie and Shad. For Crappie I like using a small weighted bobber. For Shad I need to get them down a ways, so a split shot or 2 works for me...

    Thread snippets

Ooookay, back to the original question. I don't think I like it as well. Seems a bit much. Getting most of the story without even opening it. Most guys put a good enough headline to let you know if it is something of interest to me. I'm pretty new to the site. Do more lurking than posting. But...

    Columbia River Fishing Reports

I am usually trolling plugs in 12 to 20 feet of water there. The #6 and #7 Berkley Flicker Shad's, So likely pretty close to bottom and coming up a bit to grab the plug in the deeper zones. i think I'm getting 12 to 16 feet deep trolling those. Bumping the bottom occasionally. I haven't been...

    Columbia River Fishing Reports

There does seem to be a lot of dinks to sift through this year. Starting to get some bigger fish recently though.
