Yes you can hunt it but its generally fairly slow. Good place to take a kid though for the first time.

I use little cleos mostly. Although when flows drop around 1200 I've had more success on bobber and eggs.

not sure about the south but on the north they have been hammering 2/5 oz little cleos.

so I was sitting at home completely bored and decided to hit up the stayton bridge for an hour or two. I first started casting with a gold and orange blue fox pixee and didn't get a bite so I switched to a silver and green little cleo and first cast I hooked this nice roughly ten pound hen.

for anyone else with this question, I picked up 3 okuma celilo rods and I love them. about 50 bucks is what they'll cost and sometimes even less.

if you get some decent size ones you might try filleting them, that's how I like to do it anyway. not a fan of picking bones out of my dinner.

Its crazy fast right now. But still fishable I went this past Sunday morning and landed a coho on a 2/5 oz gold and orange little cleo with a pink egg cluster.

To each their own I suppose. Ill stick with what I do and rarely catch a chromer but when I do its very satisfying.

So reading through the regulations it says only fish HOOKED INSIDE the mouth may be kept so wouldn't keeping a fish that was caught while flossing already be illegal since they are hooked outside the mouth?

Which side do you fish? Coming out of stayton do you pull off before you cross the bridge or do you cross and pull off to the boat ramp?

Modestman which is more prodquctive for you, butte or abiqua? What do you use if you don't mind me asking? I'm trying to learn stream fishing as best I can this year.

Those three creeks are fishable above there falls (the reservoir for silver creek) on the 28th. I plan to hit up abiqua since I live ten minutes from it and buute isn't much farther. I've heard its good fishing but I myself have never fished the falls.
