Wilson river?

does anyone had any luck this year on the Wilson for Coho or fall kings, was thinking about maybe going by Mills bridge this Sunday, but I don’t know if the fishing is really good or if I should go farther up river, or farther down river, does anyone have any knowledge? I heard that the fall kings usually make their runs towards October and with the rains we’ve been getting it seems to me like this is the perfect time to fish. thanks for any input or info.

my advice is to watch the river flow:

https://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/river/station/flowplot/flowplot.cgi?lid=tlmo3

same as for winter steelhead fishing, this really helps you predict not just the flow but also the water clarity and when the fish are on the move/bite. and keep a journal of your trips to the river, making note of what the level was and other details of each day you are there.

So far there has only been enough rain, to bring the Willy up only a few inches. So the Ho's likely are in the lower stretches, staging, and waiting for more rain. Before they can move up. Just my .02...
