There's trout there and salmon and steelhead at the right times of the year. I took the vid a few years ago. Last year Bigcliff Reservoir upstream was drawn down due to a gate spillway malfunction and thousands of trout from Bigcliff lake were washed downstream into the North Santiam. They didn't all get caught. Any salmon and steelhead present there have to get past the Minto Dam Fishtrap downstream, which usually only happens during high waterflow events.
