Trout fishing near Coquille

My brother is going duck hunting down in Coquille next weekend, and I was wondering if anyone knew where and how to fish for some wild trout down there? I know that many streams are closed so if not trout, maybe warmwater fish? Surf?

I can go probably within 50 miles of Coquille, but I can push the boundary if needed.

If the ocean calms down, Perch fishing has been good. Smallmouth in the river if its not blown out

There are a few lakes north of Coos Bay that have good trout fishing as well

If you are staying around Coquille then you can try hitting up Johnson Mill Pond. It sits in between Coquille and Myrtle Point. Has bass, bluegill, bullhead catfish, and it used to have trout in it as well.
