Trolling for Salmon in Yaquina Bay

Whats the best set up to troll for salmon. Where are the best places to troll? Does tides matter? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Crabbing also where are some of the better spots to drop crab pots?

I have a friend who has been doing good from the embarcadaro to the green tank, and in front of the two cement liberty ships(they look like big cement docks) good place to crab also good luck, I will be there on friday If I dont go to the nestucca.

troll with the tide-- plug cut herring---fish flash 30'' to plug cut or try a A-pex , coyote spoon , #5 blue fox spinner. most of the fish right now are native coho

how heavy of a weight and about what speed do you troll?

sorry about late reply, computor got sick! I would try fishing 12-14 feet deep , as for speed 1.5-2.5 mph. slower is typicaly best. I hope you get into them.
