Salmonfly's are hatching on the N. Fork

WORD: the Salmonflies are hatching now on the N. Santiam (maybe other streams too).
 
Hell YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! I did not know we got Salmon Flies on this system! Thats awesome news. Thanks man. How long do they normally go for. Do you know of any resources on details of this so I can learn more? I can't find anything :(
 
i saw that, since trout isn't open its sort of pointless especially since it's a very short hatch. I Think your best option is tie a size 4 kaufmanns stonefly nymph with a pink or orange bead and dead drift it in tandem with a size 6 egg pattern under and indicator, c&r for wild winters on that river is at it's peak, and with all those nymphs going around that setup would rock
 
That river running at a low of 8000 CFS also makes it a bit pointless lol. The fishing conditions are very poor right now. That is a great sudgestion though man. That is a wel producing pattern on this system. We just need the water to come down a bit ;)
