I know the Slaw very well, and it fishes well from 5-10 feet using whatever technique you wish to try. I am a drift fisher almost exclusively, but there is some very good plunking holes between Whitaker and Wildcat. Try the hole Jeanna mentioned above, it is a good producer. Also there is a bank access spot near the 1 mile marker with good plunking water.. My favorite spot is the Quarry Hole. If you dont know where that is, go through Whitaker camp ground and follow the trails down to the river. You will be fishing the last place where the river cuts into the bank (at least the last place the trails will take you to). Fish close to you, not more than about 6 feet out.
