i spent about 10 months in escondido ca. a few years back and this lake was a 10 min. drive from my front door... had many a hard days actually driving straight out of town for work instead of going fishin instead.

Talk about an obsession....I thought I fished a lot.....Interesting story of foul hooked and the guys persistence(Everyday for 4 months to catch it legally). His wife rocks!!!! I lived on Lake Hodges growing up and that lake holds some serious Bass as well. A great ending for the record chase!!!
