I have a couple of homemade maps of a few local lakes and rivers just for banking it, send me a pm with your e-mail address and I will send you a copy. Very helpful for a first time adventurer...
Tight lines and be safe on the water...

If you decide to go try Horton shoot me a PM and I'll let you know where I've caught some nice cutts. Have you ever tried the Long Tom in Elmira? I've caught some decent cutts in there. Not sure if it's open right now for trout though.

Never have fished it, have drove past it a few times. Have read about it some also.

Long Tom is open to catch & release only, until April 23rd. Then you can keep 5 per day.

Alton Baker Canal is open and has been stocked.

Trail Bridge Reservoir may also be a good place.
