Has anyone anything to report on the trout or salmon in the Black Canyon Campground area by Oakridge? Will be that way soon with all types of rods to work with. Thank you!

There are some nice pools and runs along the campground. It's been many years since I've fished it, but I've caught nice trout there. Check the regs, but I believe you can keep any hatchery fish, but mostly I caught wild fish. There's a nice boulder strewn run downstream of the campground too. Did well there with flies, IIRC.

Nothing recent but it has been known to be Fishy.
