I will keep 10 for bait and the rest chowder I ended up with only 3 cut fingers I am getting better!

If this wind would die down I can fish for perch I heard they like clam necks!

Nice haul. All I ever find when I go clam hunting in Florence are those small purple varnish clams. The only place I've dug though is the mud flats near the north jetty though

the quick and easy place to get limits of soft shell clams on just about any low tide is where the N.Fork comes in, near the Casino. the big mud flat on the east side of the N.Fork just to the south of the 126 bridge. the trick is not to try and walk across that mud flat, park and walk back to the bridge, get down to the edge of the river and walk south a bit until you see lots of clams...
