I`ve spent a lot of time at timothy and you are right, Brookie fishing can be really good. I`m looking for a smaller more scenic lake. Any suggestions?

Try the rock lakes above Herriet there are like 7 of them. Some dive in some hike in couple miles. Nice Brookies to 12 is what I have caught.

Caught some 9 1/2-inch Brookies on Caddisflies at Trillium Lake along the edge of the lily pads on 8-23-09.

I was doing the same at Trillium last Thursday also. They usually hit within 1 or 2 seconds after my dry fly touched down on the water, great fun!
If you see a guy fly fishing from a blue Outcast pontoon, say hello, it's probably me...

I know there are several lakes near Harriet, but do you know which one specifically has nice sized Brookies in it?

I would check out Harriet or Trillium for sure. Though Olallie lake is not far from either places, and is a great trout lake. Trillium is Row-only fyi. so you can relax without wakeboarders blasting they're bump!bump! music...
