Hmmm...a couple o' friends n' I will be camping at Prineville, for the week before July 4th. Maybe we'll venture to Merwin while we're nearby. Thank you.

Yeah, it looks like a good lake to try. Weird though--it is not listed in any of my books:

Maybe it is an overlooked gem?

Hmm. There's a Merwin Lake #2 also but it's tiny and I'm sure there's a 1 also but I haven't found it yet. I do know of a nice little trout lake near there too if you want to check it out too?
