How is spring fishing

I fished this last fall with limited success.
I haven't seen any info about this area for 'Springers'.

Columbia has good numbers. Willy has ok numbers near the columbia up to the Oregon city falls has okay numbers. Lost 2 springers on the trask this morning! (only fish seen all day, def in small numbers so far) GL out there!

I've never fished the Umpqua except once for smallmouth. Caught quite a few of what I consider undersized fish.
Any suggestions as to what area might provide good access for a bank fisherman?

if you head into Scottsburg there is some bank access,just over the bridge.
