If anyone wants to join me, feel free. Hopefully the fishing is still as good as this weekend. I'm planning on being there pretty early, 6am ish. I guess I'll go to Oxbow park and just adventure along the banks throwing spinners.

Any tips on where to head at Oxbow?

Show up there about 630.
Ive been there at 6am and the gate was still locked.
They opened it a few minutes early but...

i was there yesterday a good amount of fish jumping and surfacing. i would start just below the rapids i saw a dark 35-40 chinook surface but had know luck. good luck tomorrow.

Myself and a buddy will be there as well. Stop by and say hey. Ya I hope its still good fishing.I need to give some STIKTIME!!!!! I'm still in need of my first coho of the year!!!!!!!

Hard to say hi when I have no idea what you look like. I'll be driving a bright blue Ford Escort and fishing with a faily obvious 9'0" yellow Eagle Claw pole (I'm on the market for something a bit smaller for the rivers...). I'll also look like I have no idea what I'm doing.

Sorry...... ill b wearing the same red g loomis hat in my picture.

get there early

get there early

I have hooked all my fish there between 7-8 am. You keep seeing them rolling after that but the sun on the water seems to give them lock-jaw. Plenty of bright-chrome coho at Oxbow this morning, but don't tell anyone.

Alarm is set for 5am, I'll be there at 6:30. Thanks!

Do u guys go into the park itself ? man $5.00 aday to park in there + gas and fishing equipment.

If you buy the year pass (for all Oregon state parks) It's $30 for the year.

I just got back, fished the river from 6:30 till 9am. There were five vehicles waiting to get past the gate when I showed up (6:15). I was fishing near 12 other people (I was the first there..but they came pretty quickly after) and I saw one fish caught in that time, so one fish for about 30 man hours fished in that hole, not very good.

I managed to pull in 4 sticks, a leaf, and I snagged my own line and managed to get back a spinner that I had broken off in the first 5 minutes; which I then promply lost again (lost 4 total, at least I know I was deep enough...).

Sandy 1, me 0.

Wow I was there and saw nothing caught. The water was warm and really murky.
Within 2 hours it went from a dozen people to about 3.
Lots of fish turning in the water, but even my brightest lures I could only
see 4-6 inches..

Oh well.. giv it another day or two I guess.

Yeah, visibility was REALLY bad. I saw probably close to 50 fish rolling on the surface but only the one caught.

Ty sir for the info!!!

I tried this morning and the water was murky. Lots of fish rolling, though. Keep trying with #4 blue-foxes in the morning and one of these days, you'll get your limit. Fish the spinners deep. Blue, chartruese and black have all worked for me this year.

There was fog and when it lifted it became clouds..
Just not the best day at that location

Just caught my first 2 days ago on a copper :)

Modest man, were you in line behind a black civic this morning?

Dude, it was dark. Everything looked black. It was a car with two guys. I was the last car in line, blue Ford Escort. If you were ahead of me thanks, there was NO WAY IN HELL I could have found the place in the fog in the dark with my printed Mapquest directions. I followed you like the last 10 miles and was just hoping we were going to the same place.

Did you have any luck?
