Since Diamond lake dosnt seem like it will have open water this weekend was thinking of hitting the woods. Anyone know how the ice is there?

Wow.. late reply but the ODFW fishing report says there is still ice but it is melting. So my guess is it is probably still no good but can't say for sure.

Pretty sure theres still ice. I went to the Diamond Lake website and i guess some people still went there on opening day despite the ice.

Fish Lake is open along some edges, so I expect Lake of the Woods to be about the same.

I went by Lake of The Woods and Fish lake both today and they were both ice free and boat launches open and operational .

Fished Fish Lake today for a couple hours, no luck, but saw quite a few rising. Had lunch at Lake of Woods. Not one boat on the lake. Waiter said it was slow to non-existent for fish. Tried Klamath Lake for 4 hours - might have caught a cold...
