Last week I thot Id give Hagg lake a try with flies! Hooked a couple of nice fish about sundown at ramp A. Two trips later; Nothing! I was using a royal coachman wet #8. Several lites later I tried Ramp C, same time. And despite massive flying ant and Drake hatches; Nothing! Any suggestions for better results at this seemingly erratic lake? Lake is quite low just now...

I've been fishing that lake for many years. It's often been sporadic for me. Several peeps have done very well there recently. Some while fly fishing. But I don't recall what they had at the end of their bug wands.

In years past, while in my float tube, I did well with an olive green Woolly Bugger. With a black or brown Teeny Nymph. Not sure how well that would work from the bank. But if you have 'em, give 'em a try.
