Fly fishing knots

I was curious to see what people's thoughts were on the Nail Knot. I'm looking to connect a Mono bumber to a Flouro leader and know a few people who use that knot.

Are there any other knots one might use in this situation?

I've just learned this and am sure I'll dig it when/if I get to fish again!
I dont think I'd use a nail knot though - Albright Special is more what I would use. With similar materials I personally use blood knots, but with your material I may try an Albright.

I use the Nail knot on the fly line and use a triple throw Surgeon going leader to tippet. I quit using Fluro almost a year ago, switched to Maxima Ultragreen.

You could also consider Copolymer as your tippet, it is all I use, and it has a thin diameter compared to regular mono. I use 8lb P-Line Flouroclear Nail-Knotted to 4lb Flouroclear for Trout, and a straight 8lb Flouroclear for Summer Steel, not saying that I have had the pleasure of hooking a Steel on the fly rod.

Another good Copolymer line is Gamma.
