I was thinking about going jetty fishing for salmon (coho/ Chinook) after the 15th. Any thoughts on float and herring fishing? What else should I try?

I've heard of people doing it with success..give it a try! Bobber and roe, spinners will probably produce too.

Which north jetty? Barview on Tillamook Bay? No experience salmon fishing off the jetty but noticed a few people fishing there this past weekend. Not sure if they were plunking or bobber fishing or if they were catching. I was too busy pulling massive wads of grass off my rigging! The water there averages between 35 to 45 ft deep.

The tips of the north betty are 14'or so, as you move closer to the coast guard tower it get up to 50'
