First spoon steelhead

Landed my first spoon steelhead Saturday. I also hooked 1 on a jig and two on spinners. Lost all three of them. I sight fished the jig fish. Watched her eat it and I set the hook. She went screaming downstream and I was running after her. She broke me off when I tried to land her . Chrome fish too I got a good look at her. Wild fish, but still sucks. I fished one more hole on the way back and got this buck on a spoon. Also here’s a pic of a resident cuttie from the willamete valley caught in January.

It was really cold, but I had taken off my waders and was just hitting one more spot before calling it quits. My spoon got snagged so I took my socks off and rolled my pants off to go in and get it. A few fast later I hooked him and that made me forget about the cold .

An adrenaline rush will always make you forget pain. Tony
