My brother in law catches a lot of steelhead on hairs ears in natural. He will run two of them, might be something to try.

Dry:
Sofa Pillow (Rust in the fall, Chartreuse in the Spring)
EHC (to match the hatch as closely as possible)

Nymph: (go big or go home)
#8 2x long Mega Prince
#10 Possie Bugger

Streamer:
Orange accented Intruder (I know it's not technically a streamer, but it is undeniably effective. Now, if I could figure out how to tie one in less than 2 hours.)

I tie those with a palmered hackle under the wing, that is two sizes smaller than the hook (size 18 hackle for size 14 fly). It really keeps the back end up.

I love nymph fishing, Golden Stone or Woolly Bugger....I still haven't caught a fish on a dry fly; must not be holding my mouth right...

Hey BigSteel, can you post a photo of your peacock stimulator? I'm having a hard time finding one and I like the sound of it.
