Fall Salmon fishing upper Willamette River

Hey,

I’ve done plenty of salmon fishing in the past, however, I was given a rod already rigged up and told what to do. I now have a boat, and gear of my own, want to know more about the Salmon activity in the upper Willamette river. What are some good resources to find when they’re coming through, And how to locate the fish? Any tips are extremely helpful at this point, as I am basically a beginner when it comes to Salmon. I live in Newberg, and I am interested in finding them close by.
