Best trout day yet

Had my all time best day on the Applegate today. Over a course of about 4 hours I hooked and landed 14 fish over 12 inches, with two 15s and an 18. All cutthroat and all native, hard fighters and jumpers. Never heard the drag on my reel sing like it did today!! Tight lines gentlemen. Been fishing almost every day after work and the trout fishing has just been banner.

I often wonder where those trout are during steelhead season. I rarely catch them. They must hide near the bank when the big boys are in town! My biggest from the Applegate was 23 in native a few years ago. It was probably a resident steelhead though as that river has some of those. Good job on all of the trout!
