Kastking White max here are my thoughts

Thanks for the review! I'm thinking about getting my first bait caster so I will definitely be taking a look at those!

I have been very happy with the Abu Garcia Silver Max and just ordered a second one today for $39 from Amazon. The one touch 'Rocket Clutch' on the back of the reel is a big advantage when bobber fishing for steelhead.

Abu Garcia ambassador just picked up 2 for $110ea at fisherman’s marine. Versital, reliable. Wish they still made them with an all metal frame like my old ones.

If you have time, I think buying reels from garage sales is the way to go. They’re cheap, many are very well taken care of and often you can find older models that are all metal with none of that plastic garbage on them like they make today.
