Any Smallmouth on the Rouge River

I'm going camping for a week at Indian Mary Campground, although I enjoy floating the rapids I want to fish even more. I know theres salmon and steelhead but I was hoping to catch a few smallies too. Anyone have some knowledge for me.

nope, there isn't any smallies in there. but try hitting lost creek lake! very nice population of bronzebacks there

Go check out Lake Selmac just outside of grants pass. Its a trophy bass lake and once held the state record I believe.

Well the trip kinda sucked, for one its was 109 while we were there and the only fish I could get on my rod were nasty sqaw fish. I thought about stopping at the umpqua but the wife wasn't having it.
