I'll have to try and give that a shot. I have mostly been trying various power baits. Had been told that was the way to go out there.
Am starting to see that pond fishing out thisaway is lots different than going after cats and bass and such down south. Even lots different than mountain...

(I did see two pulled out while I was out, but that was it. Certainly could have been a few more, but definitely wasn't all that hopping.)
Was out today and got nary a bite. Nice day, but no fish. Didn't see but a couple others pull out shrimps, so least it wasn't just me. But no sure how many more trips out there I want to take to keep getting shut out.
Went out today. Didn't expect to see many, but about a dozen-plus folks out at the lunch hour. One bite and nothin else even close the next few hours. Ran over to Sheridan and got zilch there too. Still, could be worse ways to spend an afternoon.
Knew the park was there, but wasn't sure if it went all the way to the river or not. Though from reading the regs, looks like just flies and lures on streams, which blows. Am sure you'd do great with a worm or two. And makes it tough for kids that way, too.
Fairly new to the area, and have been out to some area ponds lately. But was wondering about something closer to home here in McMinnville. Looking at the map, it seems like there might be access to the Yamhill at Joe Dancer Park. Has anyone tried fishing there before? I assume it isn't posted or...
