Is it worth taking my son out to the Breitenbush or Santiam (above the lake) to try out luck with spinners here in the next month?

Anyone had luck using spinners earlier in the season? Is my best bet the Scroggins inlet?

I live nearby and can confirm that it’s well-stocked. There’s a reason you’ll find 5-10 people out there at all times. My son usually catches a couple of small 10-12 inch rainbows, but yesterday he actually landed a thicker one that was close to 14.
