Yes, landing them in between the foliage is a pain.

I have caught them in there as well a few years ago. Good fun with the kids. I am just down the road too. Might have to get a few of us down there.

Damn, that Cajun Sucker Punch Bow is pretty nice. 50lbs with a 60% let off would be perfect. I also like the reel you use. I think I will shop around for a reel, and outfit one of my old school Martin Jaguar bows for fishing. If I like it, I will save for something dedicated to just fishing.

I'll go see what I can find tomorrow, Thank you again. Turns out, the fly rods I have kicking around are an older Scientific Anglers "system G" 10wt and some other random brand 5wt.... I will give them both a try and see what happens!

Awesome fish there John.. I am a rookie when it comes to fly fishing but this looks like a blast. Thinking about messing with the carp and see what I can learn, as I have a fly rod and reel laying around from years back. Was never very graceful at fly fishing but ... may be time to try...
